This YXT 24 has been purchased by an American entrepreneur who enjoys making the most of life and the great outdoors. This is a client with a very discriminating taste for beautiful design and architecture. A lover of watersports like surfing, wake boarding and jet-skiing, the owner was searching for a vessel that would support him on his quest for action and adventure at sea; that would not only be a way to reach remote beaches, pristine bays and beautiful surf breaks, but also be a comfortable home away from home and a place to store his various tenders and toys. The YXT 24 was designed to be a platform for exactly this.
Originally conceived as a sophisticated support vessel to accompany the mothership, supplying additional storage and transport large tenders and toys, Lynx Yachts’s YXT – Yacht x Tender – is also a reliable and rugged yacht in its own right. This YXT 24 will feature one well-appointed double cabin with a pullman and ensuite, as well as accommodation for four crew members in two double cabins. Frank Darnet Design will do the interior design.
What makes this YXT 24 particularly special is its strength as a platform for sport, exploration and adventure. The stern will feature a full-beam teak tiered step, creating almost a mini viewing arena, where guests can sit and watch each other surfing or doing tricks in the wake. With a spacious lazarette accessible from the swim platform and 75sqm of deck space, the yacht will have plenty of room for the storage of equipment, tenders and toys, including the owner’s personal Land Rover Defender, enabling him to explore on land as well as at sea.
“It has been a pleasure to work with this client,” says Filippo Rossi, sales and marketing manager at Lynx Yachts. “His passion for yachting and for the sea is infectious. He knows exactly how he wants to use his YXT and this has helped us to adapt the vessel for him. At Lynx Yachts, we are committed to detail and quality. Everything we do is centred on the user experience, meaning that this will be a fantastic yacht, completely tailor-made to suit the needs and wishes of this client. We are really proud of this project; it shows the true flexibility of the YXT platform and the levels of customisation we can achieve.” This exciting sale follows on from the opening of Lynx’s new shipyard in Nijkerk earlier this year, further underpinning the dedication of this innovative yard to building dependable, seaworthy vessels for modern yachtsmen and women.
